The Sketch My Dress Story…

I always loved Art at school. When everybody else was doing Economics, I was the pupil who sneaked off to paint, in the Art rooms… just drawing and painting, and being creative!

I suppose I was always going to go to Art School, then onto my BA(hons) degree course in Fashion Design. The whole time was drawing, creating, sketching…. this was something that is part of my standard life, and 20 years later, I’m still lucky enough to draw, sketch and create beautiful wedding gowns.

The illustration is such an important part of the design process. The initial buzz of lots of ideas flowing into design illustrations, ready to show my clients. That’s a huge reason why I created Sketch My Dress, to give create those illustrations with everybody, and capture their own personal memories for them.
